If you are looking for a clean contemporary alternative to framing, our in-house mounting services could be the answer. We can take any photographic print, apply a matt or high gloss seal for added protection and mount it directly to the substrate of your choice, with options for a split-battens on the reverse making it ready to hang. High impact colour prints look striking and modern with a gloss finish, or if you need mounted prints for exhibition purposes a matt seal provides durable protection and eliminates light reflection. The majority of our mounting services take between 3 and 5 working days to complete, however to comply with health and safety standards many substrates are ordered pre-cut to size by the manufacturers and can take slightly longer subject to delivery times. Foamboard is a lightweight and economical choice, most suitable for temporary use. The nature of this product (expanded foam in a smooth card skin) means that prints hung for any significant period can warp due to atmospheric conditions, but it is a practical solution where weight and damaging walls with permanent fixings are an issue. Small pieces can be fixed with double-sided tape or sticky pads, for larger prints on foamboard we would recommend sourcing wide velcro.

MDF mounting can be an attractive and affordable alternative if you like a deep profile to show behind your image. We offer either black or white painted edges as standard (charged at £2.50/metre) but if you would prefer them to match your wall colour, feel free to provide us with the paint! The material costs listed apply to 6mm, 9mm and 12mm deep boards- deeper profiles are available such as 24mm and can be quoted on request. Being a fibre-based product, it should be expected to have some minor imperfections in the surface which can occasionally show on the finished print although we do endeavor to eliminate these during the mounting process. Due to the weight of this product we would recommend hanging with split battens, or on deeper boards you may attach your own method of hanging such as mirror plates.

ACP- Aluminium Composite Panel (generally referred to by the leading brand name of Dia-bond) consists of a 3mm PVC core sandwiched between thin sheets of aluminium. This product offers the rigidity and crisp, clean mounting surface of aluminium sheet but at a more affordable price, and has the added advantage of being lighter in weight. Ideal for very large exhibition prints and display boards, we order ACP pre-cut to the desired size for the neatest finish possible. All boards are then sanded by hand to remove any burrs on the aluminium skin before mounting your sealed image.
